Un destructor de la Marina japonesa ha rescatado a un hombre de 60 años de edad que había sido arrastrado 15 kilómetros mar adentro por el tsunami del pasado viernes, según ha informado el Ministerio de Defensa nipón.
El hombre, identificado como Hiromitsu Shinkawa y residente de la ciudad de Minamisoma, fue avistado esta mañana cuando ondeaba una banderola roja desde un pedazo de tejado. El hombre fue arrastrado junto con su casa entera por la ola gigante que arrasó la región de Fukushima.
Shinkawa, que se encontraba consciente y en buenas condiciones de salud, relató cómo el tsunami golpeó su casa cuando había regresado junto a su mujer para recoger algunos enseres tras el terremoto. “Me salvé gracias a que me subí al tejado, pero mi mujer ha sido arrastrada por la corriente”, ha dicho.

The man, identified as Hiromitsu Shinkawa and resident of the city of Minamisoma was seen this morning when he waved a red flag from a piece of roof. The man was dragged along with his entire house for the giant wave that swept the region of Fukushima.
Shinkawa, who was conscious and in good health, told how the tsunami hit his home when he returned with his wife to pick up some furniture after the earthquake. “I was saved because I got on the roof, but my wife has been dragged by the current, ” he said.
